NEWPORT, R.I. - "SRyou: Student Expo 2011" will be held Friday, March 25. Sessions of poster presentations, performances and exhibitions featuring the work of undergraduate students will be held throughout the day, which will also include a continental breakfast at the SRyou venues, a special lunch in the Miley cafeteria and an afternoon reception in Ochre Court.
Hundreds of students are scheduled to participate in Friday's event. Classes will be suspended from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. so that students may attend the exposition.

SRyou is the second annual celebration of work put together for students, by students. Each student at Salve Regina had the opportunity to showcase his or her research, service, visual or performance art or study abroad experiences to the rest of the student body and the entire University community.
The day will also allow students to step away from their own field of study and see what their peers in other departments and other majors have been working on. First year students get to see what amazing things are being accomplished at Salve Regina and learn about the opportunities that are open to them.
The closing reception in Ochre Court, scheduled for 3:15-4:30 p.m. Friday, will include refreshments, live music, free T-shirts for the first 125 non-presenters and Jazzman's coupons for the first 200 guests. Winners of the Faces of Mercy Contest will also be announced.
