TOM KARAKO PRESENTS ATWOOD LECTURE ON NUCLEAR PROLIFERATION IN THE MIDDLE EAST
NEWPORT, R.I. - Tom Karako, assistant professor of political science and interim director of the Center for the Study of American Democracy at Kenyon College, will present Salve Regina's Atwood Lecture at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7. Karako's talk, "Nuclear Proliferation in the Middle East," will be presented in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall.

- An information session for business students interested in studying in France through the IDRAC School of Management will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the O'Hare Academic Center, Room 114.
- Hypnotist Dan Candell will present his show "Hypnosis Gone Wild" at 9 p.m. in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall as part of the Friday Night Live series. Free Friday Night Live T-shirts will be available.

- Freshmen: Look in your "Free Stuff" booklet for a coupon redeemable today for a small beverage at Empire Tea & Coffee, located at 22 Broadway. Empire is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. today.
- "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" will be shown at 8 p.m. in the DiStefano Lecture Hall. Free popcorn will be served.
- The annual SnoBall semi-formal will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in Ochre Court. The cost is $10 and tickets are available in the Office of Student Activities.
Sunday, February 5

- A Super Bowl party will be held from 5-11 p.m. in Wakehurst. Enjoy free refreshments while watching the biggest sporting event of the year. Beer and wine available (cash bar) for those over 21.

- Prominent theologian Father Robert Barron and Today Show veteran correspondent Mike Leonard will host a signature event titled "Journey to the Heart of Faith" at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Providence College's Peterson Recreation Center as part of the college's alumni and family weekend. - Students who are interested in summer student employment should submit an interest form through the Salve Regina Gateway by Thursday, Feb. 9. Students with a judicial record may not be eligible, and May graduates are also not eligible. Students who are hired will be provided housing if necessary. - The Office of Information Technologies will perform maintenance on My Web Courses from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3. During this time, access to My Web Courses will not be available.
